Indian Cricket Team for ICC World Cup 2019

The 12th edition of the ICC World Cup is scheduled to start on May 30, 2019, and all 10 teams participating are working hard for the fifth – played mega event in England. Virat Kohli is ready for the 2019 Cricket World Cup starting in England in a month’s time.

There will be plenty of expectations from all over India as India’s captain and the best batsman in the team.  Kohli said, though, that he thought the expectations are fair, but all are focused on helping the team win.  Virat Kohli spoke about the comrade in the Indian team and how the players are having a bond together in the dressing-room in an exclusive interview with India Today. Kohli, 41 centuries old and today’s number 1 batsman in the world, said each of the Indian team member was keen to return to the setup and is proud to lead a group of guys who are willing to play for the country passionately.

The side will be led by Virat Kohli and the vice – captain will be Rohit Sharma. The 15-man squad is a mix of six batsman, four all – rounders, and five bowlers. Although there are lots of positive developments, India continues to haunt the team in its endless search for a solid No.4 batsman.

None of the cricketers was sufficiently consistent to seal the spot, despite having a large number of batsmans who could bat at No. 4 i.e.; Dinesh Karthik, Kedar Jadhav, KLRahul. The likely prospects for the No. 4 position – Ambati Rayudu and Rishabh Pant have been left out of the 15-man World Cup squad, as Kedar Jadhav will play on that spot. Dinesh Karthik will take the charge as the second wicketkeeper of the team instead of Dhoni if he gets injured.

The skipper himself will lead the batting unit, and Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Rohit, and MS Dhoni will support him.

In the past year, Hardik Pandya, the prize-winning possession of India, has been a showcase for the Indian team. His ability to hit sixes for fun and all-round skills made him one of the best. He can bat at any position, bowl consistently regardless of the bowled overs and have excellent fielding abilities, a perfect complete package what needed the most.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was one of the Indian team’s most consistent and cost effective bowlers. Without Jasprit Bumrah’s presence, India’s death over bowling can be considered nothing. He was India’s specialist in death overs. Many fans believed Shami was closed for his outside cricket selection doors because of his extra-marital affairs. He did not allow his game to be affected by personal issues. Recently he had a good series against England.

There will be 2 spinners Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav.

Yuzvendra Chahal, the most feared spin bowler of contemporary batsmen, became the latest sensation of spin in India. Kuldeep Yadav has successfully secured his ODI place on Indian team after becoming the only third Indian to take a hat trick in ODIs.

On June 5, India will play its first match against South Africa and on June 16, bolt horns against Pakistan’s chief adversary.
